Humble Beginnings

The origins of AcctPad go back to 1997. After graduating from college, paychecks had a mysterious way of disappearing. I was determined to figure it out so I created a spreadsheet and at the end of each day I emptied my pockets of crumpled receipts, scribbled notes and entered the days transactions. The spreadsheet evolved over a few months into simple table which showed me the grim reality of the post college paycheck; student loans, rent, utilities, gas, food, automobile...it doesn't go far!

AcctPad is about keeping more of what you earned. Knowing where it goes and how it adds up will allow you to make better financial decisions. The always-in-your-pocket factor of your cell phone makes the use of AcctPad a great tool to track spending.
